He's found and released without charge only to encounter a man eager to come up with the perfect crime to get rid of his own wife. Pamela isn't happy about Glenn's refusal to intervene in Gayle's shoplifting case and goes behind his back to call upon the services of her father's high-priced solicitor to get the charges dropped — and an apology. Confounded by the result, Glenn uncovers the truth and is not pleased. The detectives investigate a daring payroll robbery that appears to be an inside job with an ex-con their prime suspect. Roy pesters his colleagues with his new breath analyser. Jeff begins looking for a second job but he's quickly caught out.©tzuk

Eric is put out by Angela's work with the CI branch taking her away from the duties he's assigned her. Roy wants to know why she's being given jobs he's used to doing. At Glenn's request, Father Joe talks her out of throwing her career away and Glenn puts her back on the case only for her to become the next victim. Not knowing the reason she quit, JJ is just delighted she's no longer working. Glenn and Pamela find themselves at odds over her decision to cover for Jamie's stealing. Amanda agrees to be Mike's third wheel — and romantic interest — when he finds himself on another lunch date with Gayle. JJ surprises Valerie with a visitor — Lambert.©tzuk

Glenn's priority is to solve a pair of safecrackings but JJ goes against Glenn's orders to investigate a woman's disappearance. Valerie's stalker, David Lambert, is at the middle of the case and has told the woman's husband she ran off to Queensland make a fresh start but JJ makes other findings. Valerie is troubled by Lambert becoming JJ's new best friend but matters escalate when Lambert uses some doctored photos of Valerie to blackmail JJ into dropping the missing person case, also claiming they've been having an affair. Glenn rebukes Amanda for trying too hard, Roy takes a photographic memory course and Jamie's difficulties persist. Valerie confides in Claire who tells Tony, Eric, and Glenn. JJ disappears after Glenn suspends him from duty.©tzuk
