Robin and Pyke are plunged into a nightmare when Miranda reports that someone has been shot dead at Silk 41 — and Mary has been taken hostage by the gunman to Bondi.

At the crime scene at Silk 41, the police are getting nowhere with a grief-stricken Mamasan Dang and the girls. Crucial security footage has been wiped, Puss has disappeared, and there's no body.

Bondi is sealed off, and as the hunt for the gunman intensifies, Robin and Miranda join the sweep of the crowded beach.

Robin's intuition tells her that unless she can discover what Puss's audacious plan is and stop him, her daughter — and the possibility of love — may be lost to her forever.
