When small town cop James Hayes is called to the local cemetery in the middle of the night he makes a discovery that turns his world upside down. Six people have inexplicably risen from the dead in perfect health. With no memory of their identities, their disbelief gives way to a determination to discover who they are and what has happened to them. But the case soon becomes deeply personal to James when he recognises one of the risen. Along with local doctor Elishia Glass, he struggles to keep the case hidden from his colleagues, his family and the world. His secret tests him as a policeman, a husband, and as a man, as one thing soon becomes clear: these six people are all linked in some way, and someone knows the truth about how and why they have returned.
