It's the first day of University, and after coming from Malaysia to study in Australia, Ronny just wants to get good marks to keep his Mom happy. But things go very wrong when he misses out on the textbook he needs to complete the first assignment. The only way he can get the book from the pompous private school kids who've taken it is to beat them at the boat race, the traditional first day drinking game. So Ronny must form a drinking team. Luckily, the one friend he has made, fellow first year student Asher Angus, comes from a hard drinking country town. Her mission? To turn the beer-hating International Students into seasoned drinkers, in one afternoon.

As Ronny settles into university life, the quiet atmosphere at International House is obliterated by the arrival of Craig Cooper, a brash, bombastic American exchange student, who transforms the dorm into a 24-hour frat party. The Asian students evict Craig, sending him to live at a notorious share house, Bradman House. But when they are forced to face the student conduct board as punishment for their party, Ronny must travel into the heart of darkness and bring Craig back for the hearing.

It's a few days before the annual grudge football match between the Law Faculty and the Medical Faculty. After losing for the last three years the law coach, Professor Dale, is desperate to beat his arch-rivals. When Dale stumbles on Ronny, Elvin and Wei Jun playing Chapteh (a traditional Asian game which is a cross between soccer and badminton), he believes he may have found a secret goal kicking weapon. Professor Dale grants Ronny and Elvin amnesty from their group assignment so they can play the football game. However, his tactics are thrown into disarray when Ronny and Elvin are taken hostage by their group, until they finish their assignment. Now Ronny and Elvin must somehow escape the group, in time to help kick the team to victory.

Ronny offers to help Asher and covers her shift at the campus co-op store. Todd, the co-op boss tests Ronny's patience with pointless tasks and personal requests. Ronny can't tolerate taking instructions from an idiot like Todd. He eventually snaps and quits but finds out Asher will also lose her job. To keep Asher's job, Ronny will have to do one final task for Todd that could put his student visa in jeopardy. Meanwhile Craig tries to have a non-American international experience at the university's new bubble tea cafe. He ends up having too much of the Asian dessert and goes into a sugar-high frenzy.

When Ronny loads an old adventure quest game onto Asher's ancient computer, he unleashes a virus, making it impossible to retrieve Asher's latest assignment which is due in less than 24 hours. Ronny embarks on an epic quest to retrieve the lost data, confronting computer nerds and dealing with data recovery jerks. Meanwhile, Asher discovers the only way she can get an extension is to fabricate a story that she and Ronny have suffered a bad breakup.

Ronny realises he has feelings for Asher, so he joins the Law Faculty comedy revue to spend time with her. When Ronny realizes he has feelings for Asher, he does something he never thought he'd do, he auditions for the Law Faculty Comedy Revue to spend more time with her. But to his horror, the director of the show turns out to be Daniel Tremblay-Birchall. And when Daniel starts showing too much interest in Asher, Ronny realizes he has to tell Asher how he feels. With Craig and Wei Jun giving him some dubious dating advice, Ronny finally decides to ask Asher out. But a disagreement about Daniel causes the date to become a disaster. Now Ronny is stuck in a show he never wanted to do, with a director he doesn't like, and his only friend won't talk to him.

In the lead up to the end of semester law exam, Ronny borrows Wei Jun's perfectly written study notes. But when he accidentally loses the USB, the notes spread like wildfire throughout the class. With the threat of everyone doing well in the exam, Ronny goes to crazy lengths to stop the students from using the notes. Meanwhile, Craig convinces Ronny and Elvin to use cold and flu tablets to help them cram for their exam. But when supplies run dry, Elvin builds an anti-meth lab to reverse-engineer meth into cold and flu tablets. The super strong tablets push Ronny to the edge. Will he get it together in time for the exam?
