A generation on, the violent tumult of Romper Stomper returns. Kane is the heir to Hando's violent legacy from the original film. He joins an inept far right movement, takes it over, and as events accelerate finds himself on a runaway train he can't get off. His natural mother and old members of Hando's crew have surprising new functions in this Trump/Brexit milieu — but it's not just their clashes with crazy fringe dwellers on the left, Antifa, and the Muslim recipients of their hatred — their violence has brought them to the centre of political life.
