Wendy reluctantly takes Cleaver in when he's evicted, while Barney is reeling from the costs of his rescue. David and Scarlet's romance is slowly being scuttled by her children; and Missy is desperate for drugs.

Cleaver has been forced back to the city, and Thompson's lawyer has decided the best way to silence him is to have him join their team. If it means staying alive and money coming in, Cleaver is prepared to go along. He's also been evicted, and ex-wife Wendy reluctantly takes him in.

Meanwhile, the most serious charges against Thompson are mysteriously dropped when Cal McGregor, the Premier and the DPP realise that he knows where all the skeletons are hidden. But the drug charges are still pending, and Thompson has a plan to put his old employee Cleaver firmly in the frame.

Barney is reeling from the costs of his rescue, and when David and Scarlet's romance is slowly being scuttled by her children, she and Barney look to each other for comfort.

Missy is desperate for drugs, and Cleaver's good-hearted attempt to rescue her falls on deaf ears.
