Aus: November 17, 2008 (10.30pm, M-F, TEN)

When a group of thirty-something friends return to their home town for a high-school reunion, there is much excitement surrounding the long-awaited get-together. Celebrations, however, are brought to an abrupt halt when, after a night of partying, one of the gang is found dead.

As the remainder of the group and their friends and families become embroiled in a murder investigation, friendships are challenged and loyalties are torn as they set out to discover who the killer is. Life in Manly will never be the same again...

In a double-length opening episode, Gabby, the lynchpin of the group, introduces her friends, including Jarrod, Stavva and Tracy, who have all stayed in Manly, and others who are returning for the first time.

First to arrive is Poppy, who introduces her new partner, Peta. Gabby, on the other hand, is keeping tight-lipped about the new man in her life Paul, the 19-year-old brother of her best friend, Jarrod. Their 11-year age gap is sure to ruffle some feathers.

Next is Philby, who's undergone some radical changes. No longer in and out of trouble, he's found God and love and is ready to settle back in Manly with his pregnant wife, Tess. Philby's estranged younger brother, Daniel, is, however, finding it difficult to accept his new life.

When the final member of the gang, Bec, makes a surprise return, she opens a can of worms. Bec used to date Jarrod but left him without any explanation, and now Jarrod is Tracy's husband and father of their daughter, Zoe.

Meanwhile, Jarrod's younger brother, Addo, prepares for a dream date. Stavva offers Addo his car but the date takes an unexpected turn when Addo is confronted by an angry creditor demanding payment...

Episode 1.3

Aus: tba

The reunion turns from triumph to tragedy as one of the gang's own is found dead at sea, as the sun-soaked drama series set in an Australian beach resort continues.

Having made a narrow escape from the blazing Stavva-mobile and his pursuers, Addo arrives at the school reunion late, shaken and desperate to avoid upsetting Stavva with the news about his beloved car. But Stavva finds out anyway and searches out Addo for answers.

Stavva decides to spike Philby's new non-drinking policy in order to get him into the party spirit. Philby discovers Stavva's antics and, enraged, challenges him on it. The reunion then heats up as Daniel and his entourage make an unwelcome guest appearance, leading to a near head-on collision between the two duelling brothers.

Bec announces to the group that she wants a new life with her old friends and is returning from south of the border to live once more in Manly.

The following morning a drunken Stavva finds a very hung-over Gabby asleep on the beach. As they watch the sun rising on a new day they spot a group of onlookers at the water's edge a dead body is floating on the sea. It's the body of one of the gang one of their best friends who was with them just last night...

Episode 1.4

UK: Wed, April 30, 2008
Aus: tba

News of yesterday's death travels to the victim's family and friends.

The morning following the reunion, Bec and Jarrod are shocked when they wake up beside each other on the beach. Bec trudges home, performing the walk of shame in last night's clothes, and is sprung by Poppy. While Bec remains tight-lipped, Tracy becomes increasingly suspicious of Jarrod's whereabouts the previous night.

News of the death is conveyed and the gang gathers around the dead body, identifying him and answering initial questions from the police. No one saw the victim go swimming and, although he had a reputation for being an adrenalin jockey, everyone is in shock.

Meanwhile, the victim's family is informed of the death by police.

When Addo wakes up worse for wear, he discovers a mysterious note from a visitor the previous night that he cannot recall. As Addo is oblivious to recent events, Lucia tells him about the death. Addo begins to panic as he realises last night is a complete blank he cannot remember a thing. This concern is exacerbated when Addo runs into a mate who tells him that he and the victim were enjoying a wild night into the small hours of the morning.

Aus: tba

Investigations into the murder commence with the entire gang being questioned, as the drama set in the sun-drenched Australian beach resort of Manly continues.

DS Wilson begins investigating the murder, calling each member of the group in for questioning.

Addo's panic intensifies as he realises that, with no memory, he has no way of proving his innocence. Since he knows nothing for sure, anything is possible and he begins to feel that someone must have spiked his drink.

Convinced of his innocence, Stavva and Jarrod attempt to help Addo recall and piece together the events of the previous night. They begin by attempting to find the author of the note left for Addo, but to no avail. While gathering his clothes from his illegal digs, Addo realises he lost his trousers last night literally. And to make matters worse, Addo's squatting is exposed by the highly unimpressed owner of the flat he's been staying in.

Meanwhile, the forensics team discovers that the victim was taken from a car and dragged and then dropped into the water. Stavva's sister, Lucia, is identified as the owner of the vehicle. Stavva previously told Wilson he had driven his sister's car to the reunion, meaning that he is brought back to the station for further questioning.

Later, Stephen turns up on Gabby's doorstep, announcing to Bec that he's told his wife and children about her and that he has left them, ready to move to Sydney to start a new life with her.

As the case against Stavva is building, the police believe he had the means, but question his motivation.

Poppy's partner, Peta, arrives in town with a splash and is thrown in at the deep end, using her legal skills to assist Addo in working out exactly what happened to him on his lost night.

Meanwhile, Poppy takes the plunge and outs herself to her grandmother, Olive. Olive's response is to go straight into denial, leaving a very disappointed Poppy.

Wilson questions Bec about the threatening text she sent Philby on the night of the murder and, as a result, her history with Jarrod is revealed. Bec explains that the text was sent as a means to prevent Philby misinterpreting a moment he saw between Jarrod and herself a moment that was innocent but could be misconstrued. But the truth about what really happened between Jarrod and Bec on the night of the reunion remains a mystery.

With Peta's encouragement, Addo retraces his steps from the night of the murder. On the trail for evidence Peta finds a photo of Addo and Philby on a pub photo board. Bec is confounded when she discovers that Stephen's twin teenagers, Kyle and Kirsten, are on their way to Sydney. Their mother put them on a flight to see their dad, not realising that Stephen was on his way to Melbourne. Bec receives a less-than-warm welcome from the twins and, when Stephen's flight back to Sydney is delayed, she is left to fend for herself with two highly unimpressed teenagers. The twins make no secret of the disdain they hold for Bec; as far as they're concerned, she stole their father away from their family. They want nothing to do with her.

The gang's attempts to spend time with Tess and help her through her grief are blatantly blocked by Deborah, while Daniel's rudeness to Tess at the funeral incites Jarrod's fury and a confrontation ensues.

Following an inventory it's discovered that the only thing missing from the McManus house is Philby's laptop someone was desperate to get it and DS Wilson wants to know who.

Tess is shocked when she hears the autopsy results. Even more shocking is the evidence that Philby had a large amount of amphetamines in his blood. Daniel recalls the ecstasy tablets that were in his brother's bloodstream on the night of his murder.

Then, after he makes a narrow escape from being pursued by thugs, Stavva is convinced that Daniel McManus is involved.

Meanwhile, Gabby is floored when Paul arrives at the first day of school dressed in school uniform. At his dad Ron's encouragement, he's decided to repeat his final year. Addo, meanwhile, is still unable to recall anything after watching the reunion screening. Desperate, he calls on Stephen's psychiatric expertise. Stephen hypnotises Addo and discovers he was experiencing feelings of rage on the night of the murder.

It then comes to DS Wilson's attention that there is some footage missing from the night of the reunion. Tracy confesses that she took the tape because she was worried Poppy had recorded her slandering Bec behind her back, and that she later burnt the tape. Wilson, although not overly suspicious, is deeply unimpressed.

Elsewhere, Tess discovers a passport hidden in her and Philby's wedding album; the face is Philby's, but the name the passport is under is that of Ben Richards. There is also a slip of paper with a bar code and Tess is left wondering why her husband had a fake identity.

Dr Welsh thanks her and the truth of Bec's CV is revealed.

Jarrod informs Ron of Addo's lost night and the group's decision to keep his memory loss a secret. Ron is outraged at the group's naivety and his distress grows at his bewilderment over Addo's confession.

Peta, meanwhile, confronts Addo as his lawyer, pointing out the implausibility of aspects of his confession. She encourages him to come clean, but Addo remains entirely convinced of his guilt to such an extent that Peta begins to believe it, too.

As Stavva attempts to uncover what is going on in Addo's mind, Addo is vehement in his belief that he killed Philby and tells Stavva as much. The conversation is recorded and played back to Wilson.

Wilson later charges and releases Daniel.

Wilson proposes a lie detector test to Stavva as a way to prove his innocence. Stavva passes the test with flying colours but his elation is short-lived as he realises the police are honing in on Addo.

Deborah, meanwhile, offers Pia her apologies over the accident. Pia rejects the apology and confronts Deborah over Daniel — accusing her of directly, or indirectly, being the cause of Pia's accident.

Elsewhere, Jarrod refrains from confiding his frustrations to Tracy and the gap between husband and wife broadens once more. Oblivious to Stephen's true identity, Tracy seeks professional counselling and begins therapy with Dr Mulroney.

Arriving on the McManus's doorstep, Noel is informed about Philby's death by Deborah. Deborah attempts to glean as much information about Tess from Noel as she possibly can, while Tess confesses to Noel that she hasn't told her parents about Philby's death ... in fact they don't even know she's living in Sydney. Tess also confides her fear over the threatening emails she's been receiving and the many concerns she has about Philby's history and the McManus family.

In a moment of nostalgia, Bec places the engagement ring given to her by Jarrod, nine years ago, on her finger. However, she soon finds that it won't budge. Jarrod spots his ring on Bec's finger and, after an awkward moment, offers to help her remove it. Jarrod and Bec share an intimate moment over the ring and their shared history.

Meanwhile, Tracy continues attending therapy sessions with Stephen. Both of them are still oblivious to each other's true identities.

Ron arrives on Tess's doorstep and pleads with her to help Addo with his defence. Tess agrees and tells Addo of her belief in his innocence and her fear that Philby's true killer will go free if Addo takes the fall. She begs him to retract his confession.

Addo changes his statement but, just when he is about to be released, a forensic report on the mystery scarf is delivered to DS Wilson. The results make Addo's case seem more dismal than ever.

The arrival of another email horrifies Tess and Noel as they realise they are being watched, as the sun-drenched drama series set in an Australian beach resort continues. Noel pleads with Tess to call the police and inform them of the threatening emails from the unknown person, who they suspect is Philby's murderer. Tess decides to wait until the container, with its possible treasure trove, arrives from the UK.

Meanwhile, Ron is robbed and attacked at work and news soon reaches the McManus household. Tess is sent another email telling her Ron's attack was a warning to her. Her fear and guilt over her failure to disclose this information to the police intensifies and propels Tess into offering to speak to the magistrate in Addo's defence in a bid to ward off her guilt.

Jarrod's omission to tell Tracy of his past engagement to Bec haunts her, as she continues her therapy with Stephen under her pseudonym. Stephen urges Tracy to speak with her husband, "Jeffrey", about his past engagement. Tracy tells Pia about the engagement and she is stunned, urging Tracy to come clean with her husband and get to the bottom of things.

When Tracy confronts Jarrod, he is full of apologies over his insensitivity — he stresses he didn't tell Tracy about his engagement to Bec because it no longer meant anything to him. Tracy's imagination, however, remains in overdrive and she finds it impossible to let go of her fear.

Meanwhile, Deborah's accountant, Thomas Finer, attempts to blackmail Deborah into giving him the retirement package of the century. An unimpressed Daniel has other plans, however, and Thomas ends up in hospital. Deborah sends Thomas on an all-expenses paid trip to Hamilton Island as compensation for Daniel's heavy-handed actions, but Deborah has plans for Thomas — no one plays her and gets away with it.

Elsewhere, Vivien attends her night-school class for intensive driving theory lessons. Annoyed at nearly being run over by Alison, and then meeting her in the same class, Vivien wants to know why she's there when she is already driving. She ends up taking an upset Alison for a coffee, and discovers she wants company and is also worried about her sister, Judith. Certain that she can predict the exact hour of her death, Judith fears that she is going to die tonight, on the 10th anniversary of their mother's death.

When Judith calls Alison and asks her to come home and be with her, Alison is torn, but goes anyway. She forgets her bag, however, and Vivien takes it round to her house. As she arrives, Alison is trying to persuade Judith that she is not going to die and, exasperated, says she can't have second sight because she was adopted. But it appears the prophesy wasn't entirely unfounded, as she then collapses.

Meanwhile, Melody and Michelle are pleased with their makeover results. But when Ruth finally wakes up, she panics and rushes home to find that an unimpressed Davey has already returned home from work. When she plucks up the courage to say she wants to live her own life, Davey tells her she should change her job and drags her upstairs into a scalding hot shower.

After the interview, Julia and Hilary meet up, and Hilary, who is blind, tells Julia that she believes her blindness was caused by her adoptive parents' neglect, and wants to find out for certain. But on confronting her adoptive mother, she discovers that it was actually her adoptive sister who caused her disability by shaking baby Hilary out of jealousy.

Meanwhile, noticing Ruth's scalded head, Michelle is determined to get to the bottom of who did it and manages to gently prise some truth out of Ruth, who tries to defend Davey, saying he's just scared of her making new friends. Michelle makes her realise that this is abuse and not love, and urges her to leave, but Ruth says she can't.

Later Michelle tells Melody about Ruth and that, despite Melody's caution, she is adamant she needs to intervene.

Episode 1.24

UK: Friday, May 30, 2008
Aus: tba

With Tess seemingly in more danger, Noel desperately tries to convince her to return to England.

Stavva is completely out of it, obsessed with Justine, the girl he met at speed dating. But all is not what it seems. Justine is up to something — but what?

Stavva isn't the only love-struck one. When Kyle goes for a job at Bacino, the café, Pia gets the impression that it's not the job, but Lucia that he is after.

Meanwhile, Peta takes the photo of Addo, the mystery Asian woman and Philby to the police, but DS Wilson can only see the woman as a witness, not a suspect. A frustrated Peta decides to post the photo up around the local area — but Ray immediately tears it down.

Meanwhile, Tess denies ever having seen the mystery woman before, but when Noel presses her, she admits that there is a slight recognition. However, worried that Philby was mixed up in something illegal, she doesn't want to get involved with the police.

While Noel decides to take a swim, Tess is left to make her own way home. Feeling that she is being watched, she becomes positive that she is in danger and, when she receives another threatening email, she races down to the beach to fetch Noel — just in time to see a speed boat run directly over him...

Episode 1.25

Aus: tba

As Tess struggles to process Noel's declaration of love, he tries to make her understand the severity of the consequences if they stick around for the arrival of the container, as the sun-drenched drama series set in an Australian beach resort continues. Someone tried to murder him and he wants them to leave within 24 hours. In desperation, he attempts to pack her suitcase, only to be dismissed and sent on his way.

Meanwhile, things in the O'Donnell household are heating up as the boys can't help but snap at each other. It's been one year since their mother, Diane, died and it's time to spread her ashes. As they prepare for the special anniversary, Ron puts on the video Diane filmed weeks before she died.

As Paul races home, just in time for the video, Gabby hopelessly tries to make him understand why she can't be there. Diane's goodbye message touches the family and really brings home what matters. The day is marred, however, by the arrival of the paper, with a headline that reads: "I killed and I don't remember". It seems the journalist from the speed dating night has gone ahead with her story, and the boys are furious.

Gabby later starts to contemplate her relationship with Paul. After his immature outburst at the speed dating evening, she can't help but blame his age. Things are only made worse when Gabby turns up at the O'Donnells' with a special band for Paul, only to get into a fight.

Kirsten's behaviour, meanwhile, comes into question again when she throws an unsupervised party at the apartment. As she reaches the end of her tether, Bec makes Kirsten a deal — she won't tell her father if Kirsten drops the attitude.

Just as Noel thinks he's safe, he bumps into Ray on the way to the airport and happily accepts a lift from him — unaware of the danger he's in.
