Van is restive about finding the twins. Judd already has a result but it's not something he feels good about sharing, because the adoptive dad is a cop. Van is outraged and wants to uplift the twins right now but Judd advises caution. Meanwhile, Hayden and Loretta are involved in the problem of finding suitable brothel premises. Loretta rejects Hayden's attempt to return to nostalgic knocking shop glory on the grounds of zoning, and Hayden gazumphs Loretta's cheap alternative by deploying the Angel taste test. They are at stalemate.

He has sworn off women and is living a new life as a respecter-of-rules and writer-of-tickets, but Grandpa sees a golden opportunity to get his crew back together. Loretta and Hayden have low-budget plans to refurbish the brothel, but when Aaron and the Gooch are inspired, Hayden sees a way to harness their creativity. Loretta is giving Van his first training in management. But to be on the safe side, she's diverted the Tool Guy phone to her own.

This causes consternation for Loretta and particularly Pascalle, who both know Mandy's track record — every male West associate has had some kind of Mandy-related incident, including Munter. Pascalle bonds with Aaron and finds out he is working for Loretta in exchange for sexual services.

Loretta's brothel has its grand opening and Loretta has good news for the Tool Guys: she's letting them go! Van can now be in charge as he wanted to be. Van enrolls in a small business course, for higher learning, but instantly gets lost on campus. So he follows a beautiful girl to what he thinks is his class. He is very surprised when business studies has pads and charcoal. And when the beautiful girl gets naked and everyone starts to draw her, Van joins in. Meanwhile, Judd and Pascalle have been in avoidance mode since their night of passion. Pascalle confronts Judd, blaming herself for what happened — only to find Judd blames himself. He suggests that the best thing to do is to rip the page out of the notebook; forget it ever happened. Aaron decides on a bold plan to express his feelings. He proposes to Pascalle, telling her it was on Judd's advice.

Van gets the money to buy the freedom of his true love. Steve, in an attack of conscience, decides to give Judd the police's internal investigation into Gerard. Pascalle announces her intention to leave as Judd announces his intention to do the same. Cheryl is cleared and welcomed back home.
