As Giles pursues the attention of enigmatic Octavia Vermont, he upsets the school jock, Josh Montana, who idolizes the exceptionally vain Coach Shane. But that is the least of his problems. The school principal, Violet Profusion, is revealed to be involved with Lew Siffer, local frightening entrepreneur of questionable repute. Giles is paranoid with a distinct feeling that he is being watched.

After the mysterious abduction of the editor of the school's website, an election is held for the replacement and a reluctant Giles is nominated. But by whom? Surely not by the scheming Sabrina, who had her sights set on the role. Josh is threatened by witnessing that Octavia is showing signs of becoming impressed by Giles's campaign and his endearing personality, which leaves Josh determined to seek revenge.

Sabrina accuses Giles of cheating in the election. 'Q' gives Octavia an important mission, instructing her to host a social party in order for the agency to search the Vermont family home.
