SONY plans to release in September a CD of the original music from Nine's major new series, McLeod's Daughters, which kicks off with an introductory telemovie-length episode on Sunday, August 5.

The series (with a stellar cast including Sonia Todd) will then take over Judging Amy's 7.30pm time-slot on Wednesdays.

The man behind the music is composer Chris Harriott, who also does the music for Hi-5.

The series' producer, Posie Graeme-Evans, wrote the lyrics for many of the songs.
