Mcleod's Daughters: articles

Greener pastures for Banas

ACTRESS Michala Banas has joined the cast of hit TV series McLeod's Daughters after losing her role with Always Greener when it was axed last year.

The actress-turned-pop star played city girl Marissa Taylor on the Channel 9 show.

Banas said the move to one of Australia's top-rating dramas was a great opportunity.

Her first day on the set, Banas had to learn to drive a tractor—and overcome a fear of spiders.

Banas's first episode on McLeod's—where she plays the part of Kate, a new worker on Drovers Run—will air in two weeks.

To celebrate her joining McLeod's Daughters, Banas and the other cast members of the Channel 9 program will fly to Hawaii next week for a mid-production holiday.

Banas said it would be her first real holiday in more than 12 years.
