Show takes Logies lead

FOXTEL'S Love My Way series scored an early Logies boost last night when it scooped the pool at the subscription television awards.

The ASTRA (Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association) Awards, hosted by James Mathison and Andrew "Farrah Fawcett" Gunsberg, were held at Wharf 8 at Walsh Bay and provided a chance for outstanding members and productions to be recognised for their work.

As expected, Love My Way scooped the pool, winning the Most Outstanding Australian Production award and also scoring gongs for leads Claudia Karvan (Most Outstanding On Camera Performance - Female) and Dan Wyllie (Male).

Those in attendance included Sarah Wynter, Deborah Mailman and Erika Heynatz.

Karvan was rapt to have picked up a gong.

"I'm totally thrilled to have won an ASTRA," she said. "It's wonderful for the show to be acknowledged in such a way."
