A noice little earner for Kath and Kim

KATH and Kim have their man.

Rick McKenna has quit Channel 9 as general manager for production and program development, to concentrate on developing the Kath & Kim brand worldwide.

McKenna, who joined Nine last July, is executive producer of the hit sitcom, along with his wife Gina Riley and Jane Turner, the show's stars.

"The brief when I joined Nine was to restructure production out of Melbourne and develop new program ideas," said McKenna, who leaves Nine at the end of the month.

"I can leave feeling satisfied.

"There is growing interest in Kath &Kim worldwide, and to realise its potential, Gina Riley, Jane Turner and I need to focus our full attention on the opportunities at the present moment."
