As Zoe (Ash Ricardo) and Dan (Todd Lasance) investigate a savage murder with hundreds of potential suspects, Stephen (Dominic Monaghan) demonstrates that he is willing to go to any length to have Amber (Marny Kennedy).

A man is stalked to his apartment where he is savagely stabbed to death. The sight and smell of blood at the scene dredge up unpleasant memories for Zoe and Dan. Since Dan’s return, Zoe is completely unravelling, struggling to sleep and being haunted by flashes of the attack. This encourages her to consider a career move to the Federal Police, which she insists has nothing at all to do with Dan.

While the investigation into the murder ramps up, Dan and Jim (Robert Mammone) continue their unofficial look into what they are becoming certain is serial killer who keeps teeth as trophies. Claire’s (Darcie Irwin-Simpson) continued attempts at scoring a date with Stephen are hampered by mixed signals. Little does she know that he is becoming obsessed with her new housemate, Amber, and it’s an obsession that he demonstrates he’s prepared to go to any length for.
