The Alice: characters

Luke Carroll as Michael Anderson

Michael's family are Arrernte and Wiradjuri and he's lived in The Alice all his life. He's Toby's business partner and best mate, though they fight like brothers.

Michael enjoys running the adventure tour business but one day he'd like to explore other options, maybe music or travel. He's never really had a plan for the future and some days he has the feeling things haven't really begun for him yet. He often finds himself drawn to people from out of town who have seen a different side of life.

Michael can be one of the boys — ribbing his mates, annoying his older sister Natalie, checking out girls. But there is more to him than meets the eye. Michael is a good listener but doesn't reveal himself readily.

He has secretly been in love with Jess all his life but has never acted on it because she was with his best mate. Michael is yet to really put himself on the line for something he believes in.
